Founded in October 1999 by three scholars from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology—Li Zexiang, Gao Bingqiang, and Wu Hong—the company was the first in the Asia-Pacific region to focus on motion controllers and controller-based systems with its own intellectual property. A significant milestone was achieved on August 15, 2023, when Googol Technology was listed on the ChiNext Board of the Shenzhen Stock Exchange under the stock code 301510.
