Proton therapy is widely recognized as a superior cancer radiation treatment compared to conventional X-ray radiotherapy due to its precision in targeting tumors. However, less than 2% of radiotherapy patients receive proton therapy, primarily because the systems are prohibitively expensive and large. The main reason for this is the gantry—a massive structure that rotates the proton delivery system around the patient.
Our solution is simple: instead of rotating the machine, we rotate the patient. This innovation, featuring a smart robotic chair, a multidirectional CT scanner, and an ultra-compact proton transport and delivery system, drastically reduces both the size and cost of the system. As a result, proton therapy becomes more accessible to patients, expanding its availability and impact in cancer care.
By enhancing accessibility, our solution delivers significant value not only to patients but also to physicians, who can provide optimal care, and to hospitals, which can adopt proton therapy systems with reduced financial risk, ensuring quicker returns on investment. With nearly 25 million new cancer cases projected for 2030—half of which will require radiotherapy—this presents a substantial business opportunity to broaden access to this advanced treatment.
