Private investment firm supporting the long-term growth of businesses without the pressure of an investment time horizon. We acquire controlling stakes in businesses and work closely with the management teams of the companies we acquire. Our current portfolio consists of 14 investments with an aggregate turnover of over £400m and employing over 2,000 people.

The investment team comprises three directors. The team’s funding structure coupled with considerable industry experience enables GIL to respond rapidly to investment proposals and be flexible in structuring proposals suitable to investee company, vendor and management.

We target European headquartered businesses, typically non-core assets of a larger group or standalone businesses in need of investment and management.
