Muraski, a former professional soccer player in Italy, was exposed to the business model in Europe and decided to bring it to Brazil. These plans offer coverage for one or two years and are available for cars, luxury vehicles, and motorcycles, with different tiers covering a range of components from just the engine and transmission to over 150 items.

For consumers, the service provides peace of mind and protection against unexpected repair costs, with a nationwide network of accredited workshops and 24/7 assistance. For dealerships, it serves as a sales tool and a way to manage post-sale obligations, potentially increasing revenue through both vehicle sales and workshop services, as maintenance can be tied to the dealership's own service center. The company developed its own system to manage the entire process, from issuing certificates to handling claims. In July 2025, Gestauto was acquired by Assurant, a global risk management solutions provider. This acquisition aims to strengthen Assurant's automotive segment in Brazil and provides Gestauto with the resources for further expansion, with Felipe Muraski continuing as CEO.
