Gestal
Multi-sector industrial services for complex projects.
The story begins in 1946, when Lucien Allaire founded Gestal, laying the groundwork for what would become a major player in industrial services in France. For decades, the company built its expertise, focusing on key sectors like shipbuilding and aerospace. The business provided comprehensive industrial solutions, covering everything from design and manufacturing to installation and maintenance. A significant turning point came in 2018 when Gestal was acquired by the institutional fund FCDE. This event marked a new chapter of accelerated growth. Under this new ownership, Gestal embarked on an ambitious expansion strategy. In 2019, the company went international with the acquisition of Roma 2s in Romania and expanded its naval activities. The momentum continued with a series of strategic acquisitions to strengthen its national presence and diversify its portfolio. The company acquired TIS in Castres and RCT Industrie in Bordeaux in 2022, and SETCA in Poitiers in 2023. These moves expanded Gestal's reach into the nuclear, pharmaceutical, and green chemistry sectors. By 2024, Gestal's success was recognized when it won the Mid Cap France award for its external growth strategy, and it welcomed new shareholders like BNP Paribas Développement and Bpifrance to fuel its next phase of development.
