In 1985, in the heart of Tuscany, three brothers, Franco, Marcello, and Giovanni Tempestini, embarked on a journey that began with a small grocery store in Prato. Their vision was to share the authentic tastes of their region, starting with appetizers, sauces, and ready-made first courses. This initial step laid the groundwork for what would become Gastronomia Toscana, a company dedicated to Tuscan culinary traditions. The move from a local shop to an industrial-scale operation marked a significant turning point. Over the years, the company expanded its production, introduced new product lines, and obtained quality certifications, solidifying its presence in the market. The leadership eventually passed to the next generation of the Tempestini family, who continued to drive the company's growth with a strong focus on brand strategy and market analysis. A pivotal moment in their journey occurred when the Italian private equity firm Sviluppo Imprese Centro Italia (SICI) acquired a minority stake in the company. This investment was not a sale, but a strategic partnership designed to accelerate growth both in Italy and internationally, with Andrea Tempestini continuing as CEO. This collaboration signaled a new chapter for Gastronomia Toscana, enabling further expansion and the promotion of quality Italian food on a global scale.
