Fusepay

Fusepay is a financial technology company building a platform to modernize business-to-business (B2B) payments and financial operations in Seychelles and other Indian Ocean island nations. Founded in June 2024 by CEO Vidhyasahar Thiyagarajan and CTO Francesco Rocchi, the company was established to address the inefficiencies of traditional, paper-based payment systems. The founders, having both lived in Seychelles for decades and supported their families' retail and wholesale businesses, experienced firsthand the challenges caused by a reliance on cash, physical cheques, and manual processes.

The company's platform is designed for retailers, wholesalers, billers, and other businesses in Seychelles, offering tools to manage invoices, bills, orders, cash flow, and accounting in one location. It enables businesses to pay and get paid faster, reduce cash handling, lower costs, and prevent employee fraud. One of its flagship products, FuseCheq, provides a system for secure, post-dated digital payments, aiming to replace physical cheques which are being phased out by the Seychelles government. Fusepay also offers the Fusepay Bridge, an API platform for billers like telecom, utility, and insurance companies, to automate payment collections and issue instant digital receipts. The platform will be accessible on web, iOS, and Android.

Fusepay is not a bank but a financial technology company that partners with regulated banks. In August 2025, the company announced it had raised $350,000 in a pre-seed funding round led by Hustle Fund, with participation from Everywhere Ventures, First Check Ventures, Startup Istanbul, and angel investor Ryan Nesbitt. This funding is intended to help the company secure its Payment Service Provider (PSP) license in Seychelles and launch its B2B invoice payment platform. The company plans a public launch in mid-2025.
