Forward Factory is a venture accelerator program that helps startups develop their business ideas, strategies, products, and markets. They invest in equity from 5% to 15% in each startup, and the best startups can access follow-on investments. The program covers all the key aspects of success for a startup, from business ideas to product and market strategies.
The startups work side by side with companies, leveraging their assets and industry knowledge to create a proof of concept (POC). This allows them to develop, test, and improve their solutions while building relationships with the production industry.
Forward Factory also provides access to a network of founders, subject matter experts, investors, and mentors from the entrepreneurial, digital, and manufacturing worlds. They look for startups with innovative digital technologies and solutions that can be applied and implemented in production environments and manufacturing processes to address real factory needs.
The company focuses on distributed and decentralized transaction ledgers for tracking shared and irrefutable data between different parties, virtual and augmented reality, 3D computer graphics, virtual simulators, digital manufacturing models, cloud computing systems, and Internet of Things (IoT) platforms that integrate smart sensors and other sensors. They also specialize in software systems for monitoring and maintenance of equipment and assets, artificial intelligence, and big data.
