Forth Therapeutics

Forth Therapeutics is a biotechnology company founded in 2024 as a spin-out from the University of Edinburgh. The company is headquartered in London, with locations in Edinburgh and Cambridge. It launched in March 2025 with pre-seed funding from investors Sofinnova Partners and Old College Capital, the University of Edinburgh's venture fund.

The company was established based on the pioneering research of Professor Neil Henderson, a world-renowned expert in fibrosis and tissue regeneration from the University of Edinburgh, who serves as the Chief Scientific Officer. The leadership team includes CEO Alex Leech, a serial entrepreneur and Partner at Sofinnova Partners, and CTO Ralph Minter. Forth Therapeutics was created through Sofinnova’s Biovelocita II fund, a biotech accelerator, to translate multi-omics research into precision therapies.
