Forseven

Forseven, a British electric vehicle startup founded in March 2022, is backed by the Abu Dhabi investment vehicle, CYVN Holdings. Initially operating in stealth mode, the company focused on blending British luxury with advanced technologies to redefine high-performance electric vehicles. The leadership team, including CEO Nick Collins, has extensive experience from the automotive and luxury sectors, with many executives previously holding positions at Jaguar Land Rover.

In early 2024, Forseven entered into a technology licensing agreement with Chinese EV manufacturer Nio, gaining access to its smart electric vehicle platforms. This partnership was intended to accelerate Forseven's development of luxury EVs, which were anticipated to launch before the end of the decade. The company's strategy also involved leveraging the innovative iStream production process from Gordon Murray Technologies, another CYVN acquisition, which promised lighter and more cost-effective vehicle construction.

A significant strategic shift occurred in April 2025, when it was announced that Forseven would merge with McLaren Automotive to form the new McLaren Group Holdings, with Nick Collins appointed as CEO of the new entity. This merger effectively means the Forseven brand will cease to exist publicly, with its developments and technology being integrated to expand McLaren's portfolio beyond mid-engined supercars into new categories like luxury electric SUVs. The integration aims to combine McLaren's established brand with Forseven's three years of stealth development and technological partnerships to create a world-beating British automotive business.
