forDiabetes provides a digital health platform aimed at simplifying diabetes management for individuals and their healthcare providers. The company offers a mobile and web application that functions as a comprehensive logbook, allowing users to track crucial data points such as blood glucose levels, carbohydrate intake, physical activity, medication, blood pressure, and weight. This service is designed for people with Type 1, Type 2, LADA, gestational diabetes, or pre-diabetes.
The platform's core functionality is to collect, analyze, and present diabetes-related data in an accessible format. Users can input data manually or automate the process by syncing with various third-party devices and applications, including glucose meters from brands like Contour, Accu-Chek, and Beurer, as well as fitness trackers and health apps like Google Fit and Apple Health. forDiabetes operates on a freemium business model. A basic version of the app is available for free, offering features like data logging, integration with some third-party apps, and basic charts. Revenue is generated through a premium subscription, which unlocks advanced functionalities. These include a bolus calculator, real-time data sharing with healthcare providers, advanced reporting and data export options (PDF, Excel, CSV), and an emergency SOS feature. Subscription plans are offered on a monthly or annual basis. The platform also provides a dedicated interface for Healthcare Providers (HCPs) to remotely monitor their patients' data, enabling them to optimize treatment plans.
