Finda Auto operates as a non-face-to-face brokerage platform for car leases and rentals, aiming to resolve information asymmetry in the market. The company spun off as an independent corporation from the fintech firm Finda in June 2024. Originally launched as an in-house venture by Finda in April 2022, the service was designed to simplify the complex distribution process of vehicle contracting and release.
The platform eliminates intermediary steps by directly connecting consumers with financial companies, which removes salesperson commissions and lowers costs. This model grants consumers greater control over pricing. The service grew from 3,000 to 600,000 users in two years. Finda Auto has since been rebranded to 'CHAZM'.
The company was founded by its CEO, Jeong Sang-yeon, who was born in 1988. He previously worked at Hana Bank's Future Financial Strategy Department after graduating from Hanyang University's Faculty of Economics. His banking background led him to view the auto lease and rental business through a financial lens. After a secondment at Finda in 2020, he joined the company in 2021 as a Product Owner, where he identified a market gap and developed the auto lease and rental service. In June 2024, Finda Auto secured a KRW 2.1 billion (approximately USD 1.52 million) pre-Series A funding round from investors including FuturePlay and BNK Capital. The company aims to capture 30% of the market share by 2026.
