These trays provide a direct response to European regulations (PPWR) by offering a recyclable alternative to the multilayer plastic trays commonly used for fresh products. The company targets food producers and distributors in the meat, fish, prepared meals, and fruit and vegetable sectors, who require Modified Atmosphere Packaging (MAP) to ensure food preservation and shelf life. Revenue is generated through the sale of these patented packaging solutions to industrial clients.

Fibtray's product is a fiber-based tray engineered for hermetic sealing, which is crucial for maintaining food quality and safety in MAP applications. Its internationally patented technology allows these trays to reduce plastic usage by up to 90% compared to traditional solutions. A key feature is their seamless integration into existing industrial production and heat-sealing lines, enabling clients to transition to a more sustainable model without incurring significant capital expenditure or loss of productivity. The trays are fully customizable with four-color printing and are resistant to freezing, as well as being microwaveable and oven-safe.
