Fabrication Games was a mobile game development studio headquartered in Stockholm, Sweden. The company was established in 2009 by Tommy Palm following a management buyout of the mobile division from Jadestone Group. This strategic move allowed the newly independent entity to concentrate on developing games for prominent mobile platforms of the era, including iPhone/iPad, as well as for Flash and the Zeebo platform.
The studio focused on creating casual games and built a portfolio that included titles such as 'World in War,' a multiplayer war game, and 'Un Juego de Huevos.' Additionally, Fabrication Games developed an application called 'Game Trail,' designed for reviewing games and distributing game-related content. The company held the intellectual property for several games, including 'Spirits,' 'Kodo,' and 'WorldinWar.' The business model centered on the development and sale of these mobile games, targeting a broad consumer market for casual and multiplayer gaming.
Just a few years after its inception, Fabrication Games attracted significant industry attention. In March 2012, the company was acquired by King.com for an undisclosed sum. This acquisition was a talent acquisition, integrating Fabrication Games' 12 employees, its game library, and its development tools into King.com, which at the time was the fourth largest game developer on Facebook and was strategically expanding its mobile presence.
