The story of Faber Audiovisuals begins in 1938 in the small Frisian town of St. Annaparochie, where the grandfather of Cees Jan Faber started a local electrical company that also rented out audio equipment. This humble beginning laid the groundwork for what would become a third-generation family business. Cees Jan Faber took the helm in 2003, merging his own LED screen rental business with the family company his father passed down to him. Under Cees Jan's leadership, the company embarked on a significant growth trajectory, focusing on providing complete audiovisual solutions for sports, music, and corporate events. Even through economic downturns, the business expanded by diversifying its client base to include television productions and concerts, which remained consistent. This strategy led to an average annual growth of 30% since 2007. A pivotal moment arrived in December 2014 when Faber Audiovisuals was acquired by the U.S.-based NEP Group, one of the world's largest broadcast and live event service companies. The acquisition was a strategic move to extend NEP's video display capabilities into the European market. Despite the sale, Faber continued to operate as an independent brand under the leadership of Cees Jan Faber, gaining access to a broader pool of resources to support international growth. Cees Jan Faber eventually stepped down as CEO on June 1, 2024, after nearly 25 years leading the company.
