In 1990, long before 'data' was the new oil, French founders Annie Thieulent and Bechara Wakim started Everteam. Their mission was to tackle a problem that was just beginning to surface for large companies: managing the growing mountain of digital documents and files. Starting with electronic document management, the company evolved its focus to what is now known as Enterprise Content Management (ECM), helping businesses organize everything from simple text files to images and videos. For years, Everteam grew steadily, establishing itself as a key player in Europe and the Middle East. A pivotal moment came in 2015 when the company made a strategic move, acquiring the US-based business process management (BPM) firm, Intalio. This wasn't just an acquisition; it was a statement. The move allowed Everteam to integrate process management with its content platform, offering a more complete solution to streamline business operations. The company's journey culminated in a significant event in early 2020. Everteam was acquired by the Japanese multinational, Kyocera Document Solutions. The acquisition aimed to strengthen Kyocera's position in the global ECM market by incorporating Everteam's three decades of experience and its advanced capabilities in AI and natural language processing. Today, as part of Kyocera, Everteam continues to operate, focusing on developing information governance solutions for a global roster of clients.
