Originally founded as Etouches in 2008, the company now known as Stova operates as a comprehensive event technology ecosystem. Its journey began with a relaunch from Global Executive Business Service, a fee-for-service event manager, to Etouches, introducing its first event management software solution the same year. A significant milestone occurred in May 2017 when the company was acquired by the private equity firm HGGC, a move intended to accelerate growth and expand its market share. This led to a rebranding in July 2018 to Aventri. The most recent transformation happened in 2022, when MeetingPlay acquired Aventri and Eventcore, merging the three entities under the new name Stova, inspired by the phrase "standing ovation".
Stova provides an end-to-end cloud-based platform designed for event organizers, marketers, and planners to manage the entire lifecycle of an event. The company serves a global client base, including corporations, associations, and educational institutions, with customers like Dell, IKEA, and Mastercard. Its business model is centered on providing a suite of software-as-a-service (SaaS) tools that streamline event processes for in-person, virtual, and hybrid formats. Revenue is generated through this platform, which helps clients manage high-volume, repeatable events with greater efficiency.
The Stova platform offers a wide array of features. These include tools for venue sourcing, event marketing, custom website building, and sophisticated email marketing campaigns. For attendees, it provides streamlined registration and check-in processes, including mobile check-in and badge printing. During the event, it facilitates attendee engagement through mobile apps, live streaming, virtual exhibit halls, and networking lounges. Post-event, the platform delivers robust analytics and reporting capabilities, with a recently launched Event Intelligence Suite that provides real-time visibility into KPIs like registration numbers, revenue, and attendee engagement to measure ROI. This integrated system aims to consolidate event management into a single, unified dashboard, eliminating the need for multiple single-point solutions.
