Estelec
French manufacturer of electronic boards and systems.
In 1986, Estelec Industrie was founded in the Grand Est region of France, establishing itself in the business of manufacturing assembled electronic cards. For decades, it operated as a key supplier in the professional electronics sector. The playbook began to change significantly under the leadership of its current co-directors, Rémi Boehler and Thierry Sublon. Recognizing the strategic importance of domestic manufacturing, they championed a vision centered on French technological sovereignty. A pivotal chapter began in late 2020 with a key strategic move: the acquisition of Scaita, a specialist in electronic cards and cables. This wasn't just about adding revenue; it was a deliberate step to broaden production capacity, integrate new services like cabling and testing, and consolidate their position as an electronics leader in the region. This acquisition was a clear signal of their ambition to double their turnover and reach the status of a mid-sized company (ETI) by 2022, a goal supported by Bpifrance's SME accelerator program. More recently, in 2024, Estelec secured a new strategic alliance, bringing on the private investor Verdoso. This wasn't a typical venture round but a partnership designed to provide the financial power for long-term growth and further acquisitions, reinforcing their quest to become a premier French electronics manufacturing service. Today, Estelec's story is one of calculated growth, betting on the value of local, high-quality production in a globalized world.
