Founded in 2007 by Franck Marty in Toulouse, France, the company has grown to include 63 employees across three sites. The firm's core activities revolve around four main pillars: IT auditing and consulting, custom software and business application development, managed services (infogérance), and telecom and connectivity solutions.

EQUADEX operates as a single point of contact for SME IT needs, enabling clients to outsource their IT infrastructure and connectivity. In January 2023, EQUADEX was acquired by the inherent Group, a move intended to bolster inherent's position as a B2B cloud and connectivity operator in France. Following the acquisition, Franck Marty took on the role of Director for the new Occitania region of adista, inherent Group's direct sales brand. The integration also involves incorporating EQUADEX's two datacenters into inherent's network.
