The integrated organization, Elixir, continued to be a wholly owned subsidiary of Rite Aid. The final chapter of this entity's independent evolution came to a close following Rite Aid's bankruptcy. In January 2024, MedImpact Healthcare Systems, Inc. acquired Elixir Solutions for $575 million. The integration of Elixir into MedImpact was completed in July 2024, a move intended to safeguard jobs and ensure service continuity for millions of members. Today, the former EnvisionRx operates as part of MedImpact, which remains an independent PBM.
