In April 2016, the Innovation Network Corporation of Japan (INCJ) invested JPY 400 million, followed by an additional JPY 300 million in March 2018 to accelerate the platform's development and user acquisition. This strategic investment underscored the platform's potential for social impact and innovation in community-based care. In February 2020, Embrace entered into a capital and business agreement with Suzuken Co., Ltd., a major player in the distribution of pharmaceuticals and medical equipment. This partnership culminated in April 2021 when Suzuken acquired all of INCJ's shares, making Embrace a subsidiary. The acquisition aims to integrate MCS into Suzuken's broader vision of a medical information platform, linking medical institutions with patients and their families more effectively.
