Founded in 2022 and headquartered in Copenhagen, Denmark, Embankment is an asset service provider offering end-to-end fund management, administration, and depositary services for alternative investment funds and managers. The company was co-founded by David Svante Hansen. Embankment aims to address the technological gap in the fund administration sector by replacing legacy systems with a cloud-based, AI-driven platform.

In November 2024, Embankment secured €4 million in a seed funding round led by Seed Capital, with participation from the Export and Investment Fund of Denmark (EIFO), to support its European expansion. At the time of the funding, the company had a client base of over 100 funds and 30 asset managers across three countries.
