Effdon Networks Ltd., a now-defunct telecommunications hardware provider, was established in 2009 by co-founders Eitan Efron and Roni Dadon. Based in Sderot, Israel, the company specialized in the development of high-speed optical systems and subsystems for service providers and original equipment manufacturers (OEMs). Eitan Efron served as the Co-founder and CEO, while Roni Dadon took on the role of Co-founder and VP of R&D.

The firm's product portfolio included optical transceiver modules, reach extenders, and service gateways. These components were engineered for applications such as data center interconnects, LTE/GPON backhaul, and the reach extension of existing routers and switches. Effdon Networks was notable for its work in creating systems for various speeds, including 2.5 Gbps, 10 Gbps, and 40 Gbps. The company's engineering team was among the first to successfully bring 40 Gbps long-haul MSA (Multi-Source Agreement) transponders to the market. Before its closure, the company was directing its efforts toward developing 100Gbps transponders, aiming to provide cost-effective, extended-reach solutions for metro networks.

Effdon Networks secured $250,000 in funding over two rounds from two investors to support its operations and product development. Despite its early contributions to optical networking technology, the company ceased operations, with records indicating it was out of business by May 2018.
