DycodeX is an Indonesian technology firm specializing in the Internet of Things (IoT) and Artificial Intelligence (AI), providing end-to-end solutions from hardware design to software platforms. The company was formally established in April 2015 as a subsidiary of Dycode, a software consultancy, to focus on the emerging IoT hardware sector.
The company was co-founded by Andri Yadi, who also served as its CEO. Yadi, a software developer with a background in physics and electronics, has been coding since 1998 and previously co-founded other IT companies. His journey into hardware was driven by the growing IoT ecosystem and the need for hardware solutions for his previous company's projects. The founding team also included Dyan Helmi as CMO, Bayu Yasaputro as CTO, and Ria Sri Rahayu as Hardware Lead.
DycodeX operates by developing and delivering real-world AIoT (Artificial Intelligence of Things) products and solutions across multiple industries. Its business model involves creating proprietary products and offering custom development services, including hardware design, tailor-made platforms, and applications for clients ranging from startups to large enterprises. The company designs, develops, and assembles its solutions entirely in-house in Indonesia.
The company's product portfolio addresses various sectors. For agriculture, it developed SMARTernak, a precision livestock farming platform that uses wearable sensors and AI to monitor cattle health, location, and behavior, aiming to increase yield and reduce loss. For asset tracking, it offers DytraX, a platform for fleet management, personnel tracking, and cold chain monitoring. In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, DycodeX created HeatraX, a thermal screening and access control solution. The firm also developed solutions for industrial IoT data collection (IoT Transmitter Devices) and smart energy monitoring (PowtraX).
In March 2024, DycodeX was acquired by eFishery, an Indonesian aquaculture technology unicorn. The entire DycodeX team was integrated into eFishery's AIoT and cultivation intelligence division, with Andri Yadi becoming Vice President of that team. This acqui-hire is intended to accelerate eFishery's AI and IoT product development, with plans to launch several new products for the aquaculture industry. This event occurred before eFishery's founder was arrested in connection with an embezzlement case in July 2025, which also implicated Andri Yadi.
