In 1971, DMP Corporation was founded to provide cost-effective wastewater treatment and recycling solutions. The company established itself as a key provider for a wide range of manufacturing industries, developing and producing its own proprietary chemicals and equipment to create tailored systems for its clients. The business focused on delivering turnkey systems to manage industrial wastewater, serving sectors from aerospace and automotive to food and electronics. A significant chapter in the company's journey unfolded in August 2020 when it was acquired by Element Solutions Inc, a global specialty chemicals company. The acquisition was a strategic move for Element Solutions to bolster its capabilities in environmental and sustainability solutions. Following the acquisition, DMP was combined with Element Solutions' existing metals recycling business to form a new entity called MacDermid Envio Solutions. This integration aimed to leverage DMP's expertise in water treatment on a global scale, expanding its reach beyond its North American footprint.
