In 1985, in the small town of Mount Pleasant, Texas, a story of resilience and family business began. Mike and Kim Crabb founded Diamond C Trailers not just to build a company, but to provide for their growing family after the trailer manufacturer Kim worked for went out of business. With Mike’s background in construction and auto body work and Kim’s industry experience, they laid the foundation for a business focused on quality and innovation. The company started small, manufacturing a variety of open steel trailers. Their playbook was simple: build a tougher, more reliable product than anyone else. This focus on quality quickly set them apart, establishing Diamond C as a premium brand in a crowded market. The business became a true family affair, with their sons, Jeffery and Jacob, growing up in the industry and eventually taking on leadership roles as CEO and Chief Customer Officer, respectively. A significant chapter in their journey unfolded in March 2025, when Diamond C announced a major equity investment from Center Rock Capital Partners. This wasn't a sale, but a partnership designed to fuel the next phase of growth. The Crabb family retained a significant ownership stake, ensuring the company’s foundational values would remain. This event underscored Diamond C’s evolution from a small family operation into a major industry player with a dealer network across North America, still guided by the simple principle of building the best trailer possible.
