Delivrone

Delivrone is a French company founded in 2021 by Gautier Dhaussy and Pierre Lebel that specializes in drone-based delivery services for the healthcare sector. Initially, the founders explored using drones to solve last-mile delivery challenges for small packages and food in rural areas, an idea sparked by the surge in home deliveries during the COVID-19 pandemic. They quickly discovered significant interest from the medical field, which became the company's primary focus.

The company provides a logistics solution for transporting critical medical supplies between healthcare facilities, such as hospitals and analysis labs. Its services are used to carry items like biological samples, medicines, defibrillators, and breast milk. The drone delivery system is designed to be significantly faster than ground transportation, reducing transit times by as much as half and cutting carbon emissions by up to 95%. This is particularly beneficial in connecting facilities in rural or semi-urban areas and during nighttime hours.

Delivrone operates by establishing regular drone delivery routes for its clients. In October 2023, the company, in collaboration with Swiss drone manufacturer RigiTech, launched Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS) routes in Northern France, including nighttime flights to connect hospitals in Valenciennes and Maubeuge, covering a distance of 39 km in about 25 minutes. The service ensures the integrity of sensitive materials like biological samples through temperature control and real-time tracking. By July 2025, the company had served 15 healthcare establishments and flown over 50,000 km.

To support its growth, Delivrone secured €4 million in a funding round in July 2025, with €2.8 million in equity from investors including Go Capital, Neo Founders, Normandie Business Angels, Normandie Participations, and One Green. This funding is intended to strengthen its infrastructure, expand its team, and deploy new flight lines across France. The company also plans to develop its proprietary technologies, including a Command & Control Center and ground infrastructure like 'vertiports', which are automated drone garages for maintenance and operations.
