Decidz was an Edinburgh-based startup founded in 2015 by Tom Williams and Craig Parker. The company, which is no longer active, developed an event planning application designed to simplify group scheduling. The core functionality of the app allowed a user to propose a plan for an event and share it with friends, who could then vote on the details and suggest alternatives. A group chat feature was integrated to facilitate collective decision-making, ensuring all participants could contribute to the planning process together.
The venture was notably supported by the founders of the travel search giant Skyscanner and was incubated at the CodeBase facility in Edinburgh. Throughout its operation, Decidz secured an undisclosed amount of funding in a single round from four investors. The application was available as a free web and mobile tool. Co-founder Tom Williams has since gone on to establish another company, Voxblock. Decidz aimed to address the common challenges of coordinating group activities by providing a centralized platform for discussion and polling.
