Established in April 2017, Dealum emerged from the firsthand experiences of its founders, Rein Lemberpuu and Rain Kivisik, members of the core team behind Estonia's first tech unicorn, Playtech. After Playtech's listing on the London Stock Exchange, both founders became active angel investors. Their deep involvement in the angel investing scene, including Rein Lemberpuu's role as President of EstBAN, revealed significant inefficiencies in the pre-seed ecosystem, prompting them to create a software solution, initially named Startup Includer. The company, headquartered in Tartu, Estonia, rebranded to Dealum in 2021.
