The company focused on providing data processing, analysis, and application solutions centered around container technology. Its core offering was the Omega cloud operating system, a Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) developed from open-source technologies like Mesos and Docker. This platform was designed to help businesses, particularly in the financial services and big data sectors, manage high-concurrency computing environments efficiently.

The company's business model revolved around offering these cloud computing and data processing services to enterprises. By leveraging its PaaS platform, clients could streamline their cloud infrastructure and data operations. Dataman secured significant financial backing to support its growth, raising a total of $11.9 million over two funding rounds.
