CTI Towers, Inc. operates as a significant owner and manager of wireless communications infrastructure in the United States, positioning itself as one of the country's largest private tower companies. Founded in 2011 through an initial investment by Comcast Ventures, the venture capital arm of Comcast Corporation, the company was established to own, operate, and develop telecommunications towers. The launch portfolio consisted of approximately 800 towers previously owned by Comcast Cable subsidiaries. The founding CEO was Anthony F. Peduto, whose extensive background in the cable TV and wireless tower sectors, including roles at American Tower Corporation and Optasite, provided a unique perspective on repurposing existing infrastructure for new wireless technologies.

The company's business model centers on leasing tower space to a diverse client base that includes major wireless carriers like AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, and DISH. Beyond carriers, its clients include broadcasters, utility companies, internet service providers, and government entities. Revenue is generated by leasing space on its portfolio of towers, which it has expanded aggressively through strategic acquisitions from major cable television operators and other private owners. The firm also engages in constructing new tower sites to meet the escalating demands for network connectivity. A key operational focus is working closely with its cable partners to ensure the integrity of their primary business while accommodating the needs of wireless customers.

CTI Towers has undergone significant ownership and portfolio transformations. After growing its portfolio, the company divested some assets in March 2015. A major milestone occurred in 2020 when Melody Investment Advisors, an asset manager focused on communications infrastructure which later became Palistar Capital, acquired the company from Comcast Ventures. Under Palistar's ownership, CTI has continued its expansion, acquiring hundreds of towers from entities like Uniti Group and Conterra Networks. By early 2024, its portfolio had grown to over 1,800 towers across the U.S. In a strategic move in January 2025, Palistar Capital combined CTI Towers with its affiliate Symphony Wireless to create Symphony Towers Infrastructure. This merger formed one of the top five private telecom infrastructure platforms in the U.S., managing approximately 3,000 assets and led by CEO Bernard Borghei, a co-founder of Vertical Bridge.
