Credit Ticket, operated by Fastlane Inc., is a platform for non-covered aesthetic and cosmetic medical treatments that connects consumers with clinics. Founded in 2016 and launched in 2017 by CEO Son Seung-woo, the company aims to resolve the information asymmetry in the aesthetic services market. Son was motivated to start the business after experiencing personal frustrations with the lack of transparent pricing and information, as well as long wait times at dermatology clinics.
The platform, primarily a mobile app, allows users to search for and compare information on various aesthetic treatments from over 4,300 registered clinics across South Korea, read reviews, and book and pay for services directly. For medical providers, the platform helps to reduce no-show rates, which have reportedly dropped from 30% to under 5% for app-based bookings, and offers an effective client acquisition channel. The business model is based on a Cost Per Mille (CPM) advertising system, where clinics pay for exposure on the platform. The company also generates revenue from a CRM system provided to partner clinics.
Key features include verified reviews, as only users who have paid for a service can post a review, and a "Side Effect Assistance Program" that provides financial support for treatment costs if complications arise. In early 2024, the company expanded its services globally with the launch of "YeoTi", a multilingual version of the app available in English, Chinese, and Japanese, targeting the medical tourism market. Credit Ticket is also developing AI-based services, such as a skin analysis feature that tracks skin changes and provides personalized recommendations, and has secured multiple patents for its technology.
