In March 2025, Climatos GmbH was acquired by BalkonSolar Deutschland GmbH, a specialist in ultra-light, glass-free plastic solar modules. The founders of Climatos remain with the company, which continues to operate under its brand. The acquisition aims to combine Climatos' B2C market experience with BalkonSolar's B2B focus and technology, improving logistics and introducing new digital tools for customers, such as the "Balkonsonne" app, to monitor energy savings. The business model is direct-to-consumer e-commerce, selling products through its website, and also features an affiliate program to drive sales.
