Climate House
Collaborative ecosystem accelerating corporate ecological and social transition.
Climate House is a collaborative initiative located in Paris's Sentier district, designed to accelerate the ecological and social transition of the economy. Inaugurated in October 2024, the project was co-founded by 80 entrepreneurs, including notable figures like Lucie Basch of Too Good To Go, Claire Bretton of Underdog, Clément Alteresco of Morning, and Jack Habra of Context. The project is established in a 2,000-square-meter building, which formerly housed the incubator Numa, and serves as a physical hub for a diverse community.
The core of Climate House is its community, which includes around 50 tenant organizations, startups, investors, associations, scientists, and activists, all working together under one roof. It functions as a workspace for approximately 300 individuals and hosts a variety of events such as conferences, workshops, and debates to foster collaboration and knowledge sharing. The business model is multifaceted, generating revenue through co-working space rentals, event organization, and tailored programs for corporations through its 'Impact Factory'. This division helps large companies, such as LCL bank, redefine their business models and develop transition plans by connecting them with the climate ecosystem.
The initiative was born from the founders' shared desire for a physical space where stakeholders could convene to address climate issues collectively. It operates with the conviction that economic players have a significant role in driving the climate transition. The space itself is designed with sustainability in mind, featuring second-hand furniture and an optimized energy management system. Climate House aims to unite a wide array of profiles beyond just the tech sector to foster a holistic approach to economic transformation.
