Chainshot

Chainshot is an online educational platform specializing in the blockchain and cryptocurrency industry. It provides instructor-led Ethereum developer bootcamps designed to onboard developers into the Web3 space. The curriculum starts with blockchain fundamentals, such as cryptographic hashes and digital signatures, and progresses to more advanced topics like smart contract development with Solidity, MEV, delegate calls, and contract upgradability.

The company was founded by Cody McCabe and Dan Nolan. It originated as a hackathon project at ETH Denver in 2018. The platform demonstrated significant growth, nearly tripling its enrollment since January 2022 and achieving a graduation rate of over 86%. More than half of its graduates secured jobs at prominent blockchain companies like OpenSea, OpenZeppelin, and Flashbots within six months of graduating.

In August 2022, Chainshot was acquired by Alchemy Insights Inc., a leading Web3 infrastructure provider. This was Alchemy's first acquisition, a strategic move to expand free access to high-quality Web3 developer education. Following the acquisition, Alchemy announced that all of Chainshot's course content, which previously cost upwards of $3,000, would be made available for free to integrate with Alchemy's existing educational platforms, Web3 University and Road to Web3.
