晟德大藥廠創立於1959年，早期為一個全劑型藥廠。林榮錦董事長自1998年接手管理晟德後，重新定位晟德的競爭優勢並以內服液劑專業製造核心，透過先進的技術平台架構、專業處方研究以及處方設計分析等能力，研發多元化的液劑系列產品，成功帶領晟德轉型為台灣第一大專業內服液劑藥廠。

2008年晟德水劑產品在台灣市佔率已突破70%，林榮錦董事長再次協助晟德制定差異化的成長策略，不僅優化水劑產品組合並投身精神、神經科用藥領域，更將晟德轉型成為「生技工業銀行」，打造亞太最專業的生技育成平台。

晟德生技工業銀行投資範圍包含生技產業鏈中的小分子藥物研究與開發、蛋白質與抗體藥物開發、藥物委託研發製造服務、藥品製造與銷售，以及醫療器材、營養保健及農業生技、新興醫療(如幹細胞與免疫細胞治療)、產業投資基金與創投等多元領域，旗下投資育成之企業超過20家並已有8家公司成功上櫃或興櫃。

We’ve invested in more than 20 companies, 8 of which have been successfully listed on the Stock Exchange or the Emerging Stock Market.
