It originated as a spin-off from the National University of Malaysia (UKM), one of the country's prominent research institutes. The company was founded by Datuk Dr. Khairul Idzwan Baharin, who serves as the CEO. A key service is the CellTissue Bio-Bank, Malaysia's first service for banking skin cells, which allows individuals to cryopreserve their cells for future use in constructing Tissue Engineered Human Skin (TEHS). This service aims to mitigate the challenges posed by the low rate of organ donation in the country. The company also engages in various therapeutic programs, including NK Cell therapy, exosome and secretome therapy, and stem cell programs targeting a wide array of conditions from diabetes and osteoarthritis to skin rejuvenation and hair loss.
