CCFT Group, formerly China Commercial Foreign Trade Corporation, was established in 2001 with the approval of the State Council of China. Originally a bureau-level unit under the Ministry of Commerce, the company underwent a significant transformation in 2005. Through the approval of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission (SASAC), it restructured into a mixed-ownership enterprise by bringing in strategic investors. CCFT Group is now a subsidiary of the China Chengtong Holdings Group Ltd., which is supervised by SASAC.
Over the years, the company has transitioned from a singular focus on trade to a diversified business model. As of 2017, its operations are organized into three primary segments: new trade, new entity, and new finance. The group's portfolio spans international trade, proprietary brands, physical industries, and capital investments. Its business interests cover a wide array of sectors, including commodities like grain, oil, sugar, tobacco, and alcohol, as well as fast-moving consumer goods, manufacturing, commercial real estate, and investments in capital securities. The company has achieved an annual revenue of nearly 10 billion yuan in recent years and has been recognized as one of China's top 500 import and export enterprises.
The group's international presence includes CCFT Holdings Private Limited in Singapore, established in July 2015. This subsidiary was created to participate in the Singapore government's Global Trading Programme and specializes in the import and export of bulk agricultural commodities from regions like Southeast Asia, Europe, and the Americas. The Singapore office focuses on trading palm oil, sunflower oil, non-GMO soybean/rapeseed oil, and refined sugar, primarily for the Chinese market.
