Castile is a Web3 gaming studio that developed an AAA-quality idle card role-playing game (RPG) with roguelike elements set in a dark, fantasy Cthulhu-inspired universe. The game is developed by Nytro Lab and led by co-founder Arthur Kao, who previously managed Web3 game funds at Chain Hill Capital and SevenX Ventures. The leadership team also includes Jeff, a gaming industry veteran, and Tom, the former Head of Game Publishing at Bytedance and Facebook.

The game's business model is centered on a "Play and Trade" system, allowing players to own in-game assets as tokenized NFTs, which can be traded on a marketplace. This blockchain integration on both EVM and Aptos chains provides players with full ownership of their digital assets, including characters and items, fostering a player-driven economy. The game is free-to-play and available on Android, iOS, and PC emulators with cross-platform synchronization. Revenue is generated through in-game transactions, such as purchasing resources and upgrading characters, using the native $CAST token. The total supply of $CAST is capped at 1 billion.

Castile's gameplay involves strategically collecting and upgrading heroes to form teams to overcome challenges in various modes, including player-versus-environment (PVE) story missions and cooperative dungeons, as well as player-versus-player (PVP) arenas. The game features a vast map for exploration, seasonal dungeons, and a trading system using in-game currencies. A significant milestone for the company was securing $8 million in a funding round in September 2024, bringing its total funding to $25 million. The Pioneer Season, a soft launch event, was held from January to February 2025, offering a reward pool of 20 million $CAST tokens to early participants.
