Brickmate

Brickmate is a technology-driven global software development company established in 2019 by co-founders Jongsu Oh and Minwook Kim. The company, which operates under the parent name Eireek & Company, was founded by serial entrepreneurs with prior experience in founding and exiting tech startups. Headquartered in Seoul, South Korea, with an overseas office and build center in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, Brickmate has grown to include over 200 in-house developers and a network of over 500 partner developers.

In January 2022, Brickmate was acquired by KOSPI-listed company Kumho Electric in a deal that valued the firm at 15 billion KRW (approximately 94 billion invested for a 55.2% stake). This acquisition was intended to provide a new growth engine for Kumho Electric. Later that year, in October, Brickmate acquired Freemoa, a major IT project matching platform in Korea, to create a 'borderless workforce ecosystem' and expand its service capabilities.

Brickmate provides end-to-end IT services, from ideation and planning to design and development, for a diverse clientele ranging from startups to Fortune 500 companies like Samsung. The company specializes in developing next-generation web and mobile applications, offering a "CTO-as-a-Service" model. Its service portfolio includes mobile and web app development, agile development, UI/UX design, and technology consulting, with a focus on areas like IoT, AI, blockchain, and NFTs. The business model centers on IT outsourcing, system integration, and an "Annual Partnership (AP)" model, which provides clients with dedicated development teams at a reduced cost compared to in-house hiring. The firm also launched "BrickBridge," a solution connecting domestic Korean companies with global IT talent.
