The co-founding team possesses decades of experience in the liquor industry. Rahul Gagerna, who also serves as the CEO, was formerly the head of marketing at Radico Khaitan, a major distillery firm.

The company operates on a B2C business model, focusing on brand creation and manufacturing. Its product lineup includes brands such as Gladius, Jordy's Bar, Zeus, and Cliff Hanger Vodka. Boutique Spirit Brands has expanded its footprint with regional sales offices in several Indian states, including Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Punjab, and Delhi.

The company has successfully raised a total of $20.7 million in funding over five rounds from institutional investors and angel investors. Its first seed funding round was in 2018, raising ₹6.8 crores ($1 million) from Kae Capital. A significant funding round in September 2021 raised ₹80 crore through a combination of equity and debt from investors including IIFL, Anicut Angel Fund, Kae Capital, and TradeCred. This capital was intended to facilitate new product launches, scale up operations, and expand the company's retail footprint nationally. As of September 2022, the company had a valuation of ₹269 crore.
