Boostmychild is an AI-driven educational technology platform designed to foster holistic development in children from birth to eight years old. The company was founded in Pune, India, by Vipul Joshi, a software engineer with a master's degree from the US, and co-founder Amrita Joshi. Incorporated in October 2021 after four years of research and development, the platform aligns with India's National Education Policy (NEP) and National Curriculum Framework (NCF) guidelines.
The platform serves as a collaborative tool for parents and teachers. For schools, the School Assessment Module (SAM) allows educators to assess a student's development across multiple areas using smartphones, tablets, or PCs. For parents, the mobile app provides insights into their child's progress in 6 categories and over 20 developmental areas. Using a proprietary AI recommendation engine, the app delivers customized weekly activities, worksheets, and parenting guidelines tailored to each child's specific needs. This dual approach aims to strengthen the home-school partnership and ensure a unified strategy for a child's growth.
The business model targets both individual parents and educational institutions. The mobile app is available in multiple languages, including English, Hindi, Marathi, and Assamese. Boostmychild has secured pre-seed funding, including ₹1 crore from the Vardhan Group and ₹20 lakh from the Startup India Seed Fund Scheme (SISFS). The company has received recognition for its approach, winning an ECDF Award for 'Innovation in Early Years Education'.
