Bluestreak Technology

Founded in 2002 by Yves Daoust, Bluestreak Technology emerged as a video content delivery solutions provider headquartered in Montreal, Canada. The firm specialized in offering software and video services for an array of connected devices, including set-top boxes, smart TVs, smartphones, and tablets. Its clientele consisted of content owners, device manufacturers, and network operators.

The company's product suite included MachBlue TV, a software platform designed for cable, satellite, and IPTV digital set-top boxes. It also offered MachBlue Mobile, an application programming interface that facilitated mobile TV electronic program guides, video and music applications, and live event broadcasting. These products positioned Bluestreak as a key player in providing solutions for over-the-top (OTT) video experiences and traditional television video services.

Throughout its history, Bluestreak Technology secured significant financial backing, raising a total of $38 million over four funding rounds from seven institutional investors, including Fonds de solidarite FTQ, Wellington Financial, and BDC. The company's first funding round occurred on April 4, 2005. After more than a decade of operation and establishing a notable presence in its market, Bluestreak Technology was acquired by Espial Group on July 29, 2015.
