Blissfully emerged in 2016, founded by serial entrepreneurs Ariel Diaz and Aaron White, to address the growing complexity of Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) management within companies. The founders, having previously built a startup together, recognized a critical market need as businesses increasingly adopted cloud applications but lacked integrated systems to manage them effectively. Diaz's experience seeing a larger acquiring company struggle with basic IT and app integration, contrasted with his own app-dependent startup, fueled the idea for Blissfully. The venture began as a two-person managed service provider and evolved into a software company after raising a total of $5 million over two funding rounds, including a $3.5 million seed round in 2018.

The platform provides vendor and software asset management (SAM), tracking renewals, spend, and usage data to inform decision-making and optimize costs. It also offers IT automation capabilities, creating workflows for employee onboarding and offboarding, a help desk, and tools to manage security, access, and compliance requirements for standards like GDPR and SOC 2. By centralizing these functions, Blissfully helps businesses mitigate security risks, improve budget forecasting, and streamline IT operations.
