BizeeBee was a software-as-a-service (SaaS) platform designed to provide membership management solutions for small, local businesses. The company was founded in 2010 by Poornima Vijayashanker and was based in Palo Alto, California. Vijayashanker's journey into entrepreneurship was shaped by her background as the founding engineer at Mint.com, where she was instrumental in building the software from the ground up. Inspired by her experiences in Silicon Valley and a desire to solve tangible business problems, she launched BizeeBee after Mint's acquisition by Intuit. Her technical expertise is rooted in a double major in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from Duke University.

The company's target market consisted of independently owned, membership-based businesses such as fitness centers, yoga and dance studios, personal trainers, and continuing education providers. BizeeBee's core offering was a platform that simplified daily operations by automating and streamlining client management. The business model was subscription-based, providing tools to manage billing, process payments, and track member attendance and status. The platform would notify business owners when memberships were nearing expiration to improve retention and would generate analytics on revenue and customer behavior. These analytics helped businesses identify popular classes and services, monitor staff performance, and understand the return on investment from promotional activities. In April 2011, BizeeBee secured $435,000 in a seed funding round from the accelerator 500 Global. The company is no longer in business.
