BISEC, an Israeli cybersecurity firm established in 2015, carved a niche for itself by addressing operational inefficiencies within Security Operations Centers (SOCs).

The company was the creation of co-founders Yair Bar-Touv and Eran Alshech. They identified a critical challenge for security analysts: managing an overwhelming volume of alerts and a shortage of skilled professionals. Their solution was the CyBIRD platform, an incident response and collaboration tool designed to sit above existing Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) systems. The platform's purpose was to streamline workflows for security teams through enhanced collaboration, case operation management, and automation. A key feature was a virtual "cyber expert" named "Bibot" that assisted with tasks and provided threat intelligence enrichment.

BISEC's business model focused on selling its platform to enterprise clients, particularly targeting advanced SOCs, Managed Security Service Providers (MSSPs), and critical infrastructure organizations. The firm's trajectory culminated in a significant milestone in January 2018 when it was acquired by CyberProof, the cybersecurity subsidiary of IT services company UST Global, for approximately $5.8 million. Following the acquisition, BISEC's technology was integrated into CyberProof's portfolio. The founders transitioned into key roles within the acquiring company, with Yair Bar-Touv taking on the position of VP of Business Development and Eran Alshech becoming the CTO, continuing their journey by scaling their solution within a larger corporate framework.
