Initially founded as 'between the arts Co., Ltd.' in January 2020 by Takaaki Oshiro, the company rebranded to 'Collection Bank Inc.' on April 1, 2025. This change reflects its core mission of acting as a "private bank for collectors." The firm provides comprehensive management services for tangible collection assets like art, watches, and wine. It leverages a combination of expert staff and proprietary AI algorithms, which utilize real-time global auction data to offer valuation and assessment services.

The company operates two main services: "COLLET," a platform for managing collection assets, and "Art Warehouse," a subscription-based art management and storage service. The storage facilities in Japan offer managed environments that control for temperature, humidity, security, and potential damage from natural disasters. As of late 2024, the platform managed over 36,000 items with a total market value exceeding 60 billion yen.

Collection Bank is also venturing into the digital asset space, specifically through Real World Asset (RWA) tokenization. A strategic partnership with the ZoomART Foundation aims to develop new applications for art assets, such as lending, staking, and shared ownership, by tokenizing them. This initiative intends to enhance the value and utility of art collections, particularly for Japanese works, by providing foundational data and valuation criteria for the digital market.
