BeliMobilGue, which later became OLX Autos Indonesia, operated as a consumer-to-business (C2B) e-commerce marketplace in Indonesia's used car sector. The company was established in April 2017 as a joint venture by founder Rolf Monteiro, the Berlin-based Frontier Car Group (FCG), and the venture capital firm Intudo Ventures. Monteiro, a Dutch-Indonesian entrepreneur with prior leadership experience at Groupon and LivingSocial in Southeast Asia, identified an opportunity to streamline the car-selling process for private individuals by connecting them directly to a professional network of dealers.

The platform's business model centered on providing a quick and convenient transaction for car owners. A seller would receive a free online price estimate for their vehicle, then book an appointment at one of the company's numerous inspection centers. Following a detailed 300-point inspection, the report was uploaded to a partner app, initiating an auction among the company's network of over 1,000 qualified dealers. This process was designed to secure a competitive market price and conclude the sale, including instant payment, within about 60 minutes, all at no cost to the consumer. Revenue was generated through commissions on each successful transaction.

Significant milestones included a US$3.7 million Pre-Series A funding round in January 2018 and a US$10 million Series A round in February 2019, led by FCG. These investments fueled expansion across major Indonesian cities, the launch of new services like dealer financing and fleet services, and team growth. In August 2019, Johnny Widodo, formerly of OVO, was appointed CEO. Following an acquisition by the OLX Group, the company was rebranded to OLX Autos Indonesia. Monteiro exited the company in 2020 due to a misalignment of shareholder objectives. Subsequently, in 2023, OLX's parent company Prosus decided to exit the OLX Autos business in several markets, and the Indonesian operations were acquired by the conglomerate Astra International.
