BBGI
Investment company providing capital to build and maintain social infrastructure.
BBGI Global Infrastructure is a Luxembourg-based investment company focused on long-term ownership and management of essential public infrastructure. Originally established in 2011, the firm specializes in availability-based assets such as hospitals, schools, justice centers, affordable housing, and transportation systems across investment-grade countries.
Its core investment strategy targets low-risk, inflation-linked cash flows by engaging in Public–Private Partnerships (PPPs) and Private Finance Initiatives (PFIs). These arrangements ensure stable revenue streams based on asset availability rather than usage volume, providing resilience and predictability for both investors and public stakeholders.
BBGI has maintained a reputation for disciplined capital allocation and strong ESG performance. The company holds Article 8 classification under the EU Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation (SFDR), reflecting its commitment to environmental and social responsibility, and has received top-tier ratings from independent ESG risk assessors.
Until early 2025, BBGI was publicly listed on the London Stock Exchange as part of the FTSE 250 index. It was later acquired and taken private by Boswell Holdings, a subsidiary of the British Columbia Investment Management Corporation (BCI), in a deal valued at approximately £1 billion. The acquisition marked a significant transition for the firm as it continues to scale its infrastructure portfolio under new ownership.
BBGI’s leadership continues to prioritize dividend growth, operational optimization, and strategic expansion in response to rising infrastructure demand, demographic shifts, and global sustainability targets.
