Aznog Technologies Limited, initially known as CalLiberate, was established in 2014 by co-founders Amogh Meshram and Dragos Mihai Dinu. The company operated as a Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) service provider with its main office located in Bucharest, Romania.

The firm's primary offering was a mobile application that enabled users to make free international and local calls to both mobile and landline numbers across 27 countries, including the US, UK, India, and Canada. A key feature of the service was that the recipient of the call did not need to have the application or an internet connection to answer. The business model for the free service was structured around a soft limit of two minutes per call, although users could make an unlimited number of these calls. For communication between two Aznog app users, calls were unlimited and without a time restriction.

Aznog later introduced a paid version called Aznog Plus, which removed the time limits on calls. This service targeted users making frequent calls to India, offering weekly subscription plans with different minute bundles at various price points, such as 100 minutes per week for two British pounds. The company's technology utilized Wi-Fi, 3G, 4G, and LTE networks and incorporated TLS encryption for call privacy. In October 2015, Aznog secured an undisclosed amount in an Angel funding round from investors including the Indian Angel Network, Singapore Angel Network, and GrayCell Ventures. The company is now considered deadpooled.
